Earthbound Corporation is a product development and manufacturing company of high strength structural connectors. Our office and manufacturing facilities are located in Woodinville, Washington.

Our flagship product is a seismic and windload holdown "hold-down" system for wood frame buildings called the Earthbound System. The Earthbound System contains innovative patent pending methods. The Earthbound System is a complete solution for wood shrinkage and compression issues commonly plaguing the wood frame building design and construction industry. We answer this issue by featuring the Earthbound System with the use of a patented structural connector called the Impasse Device. The Impasse Device is a self-adjusting, high strength structural connector that enables a wood frame building to shrink naturally as the wood dries while maintaining a tight seismic holdown system. There is no additional labor required for retightening required during wood shrinkage or compression.

The Earthbound System received an ICBO Evaluation Report in November 1997 (Revised Jan. 2001) and City of LA Research Report in May 2000 (Revised Jan. 2002).

We manufacture the Impasse Device here in Washington and provide installation and design consulting services for the Earthbound System.
